Plourde photoOn May 8, Maine children’s book author Lynn Plourde will visit Rangeley Lakes Regional School. During an opening assembly with grades K-5, Plourde will share books interactively on slides and turn one into a simple play. She will then meet with smaller groups of students to share extra stories and writing advice. Her visit is being sponsored by Rangeley Friends of the Arts. Plourde has had twenty-eight children’s books published, including her newest “You’re Wearing THAT to School?!” Plourde’s other books include “Pigs in the Mud in the Middle of the Rud,” “Moose, of Course!” “Dino Pets,” and “Lost Trail,” the 2013 Maine Student Book Award winner and a graphic novel co-authored with Donn Fendler. Plourde is a Skowhegan native who currently lives in Winthrop with her husband, Paul Knowles.
