Gary Westerhoff, a fly fishing adventurer and nature photographer, returns this year to make a new narrated slide presentation. His presentation, “The Great Outdoors,” will be presented on Saturday, August 3, from 7 to 8 PM at The Barn of the Congregational Church at 4 High Street in Rangeley.
Shakespeare wrote in As You Like It, “All the world’s a stage and all the men and women merely players.” Each of us spend our lives as players on many stages. Gary’s presentation captures a number of the great outdoor stages across America he has photographed in both grand and intimate scale.
A special portion of his presentation focuses on the state of Maine from its coast to the western mountains here in Rangeley. It concludes with images of a number of American wildlife, including amusing wildlife babies. His wildlife images catch the individual characteristics and habits of the animals and their relationship with the environment in which they live.
This event is sponsored by the Rangeley Friends of the Arts and the Westerhoff Family Foundation, Inc. Admission is free. RFA will accept donations at the door to support their activities.
