Friday & Saturday, April 10 & 11, 2015, 7:00 pm
Lakeside Theater

Lakeside Dance Academy will present their annual Spring Dance Concert on Friday and Saturday, April 10 and 11, 2015 at the Lakeside Theater. The theme of the concert is “Choreography,” and the students have all had a hand in creating the dances they will be performing, while learning about what it takes to create a work of dance, from music choices and movement styles to formations, emphasis, mood, and storytelling.

The concert is a culmination of months of work by the students. Over 50 dancers of all ages will perform works in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop. Each year the community comes out for this event knowing that they will be entertained, inspired and proud of the dancers performing.  The evening will be filled with a wide range of musical styles and creative costumes, with a large group of volunteers behind the scenes.

The Lakeside Dance Academy has been providing dance instruction in Rangeley since 1986, under the direction of Instructor and Artistic Director Pam Ellis. She is joined by academy graduates Lily Gacki and Raina Eustis, who teach Pre-School Creative Movement and Hip Hop, respectively.  With excellent helpers behind the scenes, this is a night you will not want to miss.
