Carol Batchelder – “I have had the good fortune to study with a number of well-known contemporary artists throughout my lifetime, including James Aponovich, Peter Granucci, and Jeanne Thieme. After studying and practicing in oils for twenty years, changing over to watercolor was like a new beginning. The transparency and delicate nature of watercolor has opened new doors to my creative experience.
As I strive for realism in my work, I hope to draw the viewer into the depth of my paintings, as I experience our wildlife and landscapes. Painting is a meditative process that momentarily suspends me from the routine pressures of life and opens the door to a deeper awareness of our world.”
Carol’s work can be seen at numerous galleries and exhibits throughout Maine and New Hampshire.
Walter Mularz – “My first love is to photograph the outdoors, whether in New England or in far away places, especially memorable scenic views and close-ups. In addition, I enjoy enhancing the picture through digital technology, to be creative in presenting my artistic expressions.”
Walter’ photography has won awards with organizations including the Boston Globe, Veritas Magazine and the New England Camera Club as well as many other regional and international exhibits.
