Artist Statement
After graduating from Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids Michigan, I worked in Detroit and Boston as a commercial artist. For over 20 years I owned a graphic design studio in Gardiner, Maine with a concentration Logo design, brochures, packaging and illustration. All the while pursuing my interest in fine art. I have been focusing my efforts on Acrylics which allow me to be freer with my brush strokes, use bolder color and allow for faster drying time. This present water series is something that has taken me over the State of Maine in some great hiking adventures. Hoping to capture my initial reaction to that place in time. I have exhibited my art throughout Maine including the Harlow Gallery Camden Falls Gallery and have done many shows in Southwest Harbor with Coastal Fine Arts Alliance of Maine. My art resides in many private homes throughout the Northeast and beyond.
