

– The Rangeley Friends of the Arts will host a winter exhibition celebrating the works of award winning fine art photographer, Walter Mularz at the Lakeside Contemporary Art Gallery, located in the lobby of the RFA Lakeside Theater 2493 Main Street in Rangeley.

Walter has been an award-winning fine art photographer for many decades. He brings a unique perspective to the natural world in New England and in Florida as well as to the many places he travels In the U.S. and abroad. He has earned a certificate of photographic accomplishment from the New York Institute of Photography and has participated in a number of Nikon workshops. His photos have been juried into many shows including the Boothbay (ME) Region Art Foundation, www.maineartscene.com, the Salem (MA) Art Festival, Art in August (Rangeley, ME) and the Western Mountain Photography Show (Rangeley, ME). His awards include the Nikon International Photo Contest, Boston Globe magazine, Newburyport (MA) Art Association, the National Wildlife Refuge at Plum Island (MA), Art in August and the Western Maine Photography Show (Rangeley, ME). His photos have been published in Universitas magazine (Barcelona, Spain), the International Library of Photography Annual, the Radian monthly newsletter (Avco R & D), Ziplines (Project Adventure magazine cover) and two Maine newspapers —the Rangeley Highlander (six front page covers) and the Mountain Messenger. His photos have been displayed at the Andover, MA library, the Provident Bank, Newburyport, MA, the Gallery at Stoney Batter Station, Oquossoc, ME, the Reinholdt Gallery in Kingfield, ME, the shop at Sports Club LA, Boston, MA, Chase & Lunt Insurance, Newburyport, MA, the Gallatin County Fair (Bozeman, Montana), the Inner Eye Café in Rangeley, ME, the Firehouse Center for the Arts, Newburyport, MA and the Lakeside Theater (Rangeley, ME).
